The owners, an art advisor and writer, have taken great care in creating a unique interior of great style in a restoration of the highest quality. All the original features of this Cotswold thatched cottage have been retained with natural flagstone floor, beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace. There are velvet sofas, beautiful oriental carpets, fine art and classic books. Lighting is discrete and atmospheric whilst a log stove provides a delightful atmosphere and a romantic retreat.
You can create a self catering meal in the hand-made kitchen before dining on the farmhouse table using vintage china, silver-plate cutlery and crystal glasses. A romantic bedroom is tucked under the ancient beams where an extra comfortable Laura Ashley bed sits on wooden floorboards. The luxury cottage bathroom features a Venetian mirror, deep-pile towels, complimentary toiletries and a free-standing bath (heaps of hot water) with country views.
The latest in LED televisions, with freeview, is located upstairs in the bedroom (not available downstairs) together with a DVD player and a stack of varied films. There is unlimited free wi-fi, a Roberts digital radio and iPod docking. Off street parking is possible for one car or two at a squeeze. A perfect Cotswold holiday cottage.
